But if you have knee issues and are okay with a lower-intensity workout, choose an exercise bike.
HIIT stands for High-Intensity Interval Training, in which a high-intensity workout is alternated with recovery periods. You can try a treadmill, an exercise bike, or both, along with HIIT. Well, to decide between an exercise bike and a treadmill, you will have to decide on things that you feel more comfortable with. If you want to increase your strength, lose belly fat, and burn a good amount of calories, then go with a treadmill.
But if you don’t want all the above right away, you're okay with low-intensity workouts, and you have knee or joint pain, then choose an exercise bike. So, between the exercise cycle and the treadmill, choose whichever you prefer.
